What is Chinese Medicine?

Chinese Medicine is the oldest, professional, continually practiced, literate medicine in the world.

This medicine system’s written literature stretches back almost 3,000 years.

Modern Western and Traditional Chinese Medicines are the two dominate medical systems in the world today.

How does Acupuncture work?

Very basically, Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles on the body’s surface to influence the body’s normal function. Energy constantly flows up and down pathways in the body, known as meridians or channels.

When these pathways or meridians become obstructed, deficient, excess or just unbalanced, the yin and yang are said to be thrown out of balance and this causes illness or disease.

The Acupuncturist’s goal is to restore the balance to the body to allow the free flow of the meridians and channels.

How many treatments will I need?

Each person is unique, no two conditions or people respond exactly the same.

The length of treatments depend on the type, severity, and duration of the condition, and physical state at the time of treatment.

It is also important to complete the course of therapy to restore health.
